About the Comic of the Day...

If you read the comics here, you've probably noticed that there is one uploaded every day, usually around midnight or so. Lately, however, there has been a halt in production. I apologize greatly to all those who are loyal to the site, and I will fix it soon. Being sick has its downs and... downs. So, soon, I promise, I will make multiple new comics for the comic page to compensate for the losses. I hope everyone's seen, or will see after I mention, the new "Sonic and Shadow vs Toad 2" video. It's animated... poorly.

While I start on those comics, I'll leave you with this to keep you happy:

Damn Employees...

I'm sure everyone remembers that whole scene with Charlie Sheen when he told off his boss and was kicked off of Two and A Half Men. How could anyone forget? It was the largest thing on TV this century. Everyone was cheering Charlie on, making him feel powerful. He began making phrases up in interviews and news stations that became famous. I'm sure "Tiger Blood" or "Winning" are a couple of the most recognizable phrases in modern history because of Charlie. All of this happened because, well in my opinion, Charlie was absolutely full of himself. He was the highest paid actor on television, and he didn't even have to act. He just went on the show, and acted like himself. What job could have been easier? Then he had the guts to tell off his boss, as if he ran the show. I know I'm a little late; this happened months ago, and the hype has died down tremendously. I just had a similar experience, so I was reminded of the Charlie Sheen incident.
I know millions of people were on Charlie's side the whole way, and I just have to say, personally, I was on the producer's side. You have to consider the events which preceded, and also working with one of the most arrogant people on the planet. It's not easy. One day, the guy who is working for you decides to tell you off as if there would be no consequences. Then you try to retain you rightful place as boss, and he makes you out to look like the bad guy.

Wouldn't you agree that if you were a boss, and some airhead employee, whom you provide to, comes up to you, and proceeds to spew derogatory statements, it is your rightful place to take action and punish that employee, even if it means firing them?
That's just my thoughts on it all...

This Guy...

This is the guy I was talking about. My grandfather. He said he'd like to write reviews and articles for the site, so I'll get him setup ASAP. I'm sure everyone is dying to read and hear what he has to say.

Next New Step in Enterveniant

So I've realized, being one person, that this whole managing everything on a daily basis trying to keep it consistently updated with new posts, videos, comics, photos, songs, and whatever else is a little much. And because cynicism is now the basis of this website, I've been thinking that I need someone to take care of the news and political spectrum of the blog so I can focus on everything else. The less I have to do, the better I can make what I actually finish. With that in mind, I've considered a few people, and the most cynical, reliable person I can think of is my grandfather.

All he does, now that he's retired and widowed, is watch, read, and spread news. Well that, and complain about the news, which is the part I think he should put into play. It's not because he's my grandfather that I want him to do this, in fact, that's more reason not to have him, but he's absolutely perfect for this position. I suppose I got the whole cynicism thing from him. He's a real card sometimes. I'm going to have a word with him over dinner and some coffee to see if I can get him to do this. I think everything he has to say, opinion based or not, is interesting and has genuine value to it. Some people consider it to be comedy. Some will consider it philosophical. I, personally, consider it both. When he speaks, he has passion, which isn't always good when most of what you have to say is derogatory, but that's what makes it so unique and interesting.

Stay tuned. I'll let everyone know when the time comes.

And on a side note, if you haven't noticed, I divided the website into several sections. Even Drew's page is now a fully functional blog. One of these days, maybe once I really get this thing going, I would very much like to redesign the website, so it looks the same, but functions much more easily. I'm thinking the answer is PHP, not certain yet though. Till then, the site will remain a divided blog in regular html. I'll do my best to keep updated. I hope Drew does the same.

Finally, The Truth Of Enterveniant

For the longest time, here at Enterveniant, we've been experimenting with a little of everything we could think of, games, videos, blogs, photos, reviews, music, and even education. After everything we've tried, it's clear now what has been done wrong, and now we're ready to start over on the right wing.

The first change, put into action immediately, is this speaking as a community thing. It's only one person speaking. Enterveniant.com is owned and managed by one person, me, Joshua Autrey Serrano. Autrey Serrano is one last name. Neither are middle names. Enough said. From now on, I'll speak in first person, because there is only one of me. We apologize if you don't like it. That was a joke, by the way.

The next change, and reason I'm going to give this thing a whole new go, is that this site has no focus. I previously was under the influence that would be okay. Obviously, by my websites popularity at the moment, I was mistaken. The site, unless my mentality and personality miraculously changes, will be dedicated to cynicism and comedic satire of general living and news. It will be as biased as I choose. This is a blog and it will be treated as one. What is mean by that is that if you don't agree with what I say, you can discuss it in the comments, and there might be times where you absolutely disagree with what I say. I'm not unreasonable. Comment. I read them.

Another change, which will take place as soon as I feel like it, is that the site will be divided in a more organized manner. I use just about every big online socializing service you can think of. So there's no need for me to upload videos to a separate server when I could, much more easily, upload the video to YouTube. So the section for videos will be a page of relevant embedded YouTube videos, and maybe some commentary and links. The comic of the day, also named ComicVeniant, will have its own separate section on the site. Drew, my brother and the site's main character, will continue to have his own section, only, I'm hoping, it becomes self-maintained and consistently updated because everyone loves Drew.

The next change, oddly enough, is going to be that I'll continue doing the video thing, and the music thing, but it won't be the same from now on, hence the word change, in that it will have a more lucid focus. If you think about it, you may notice I've already said that in a way. This, however, is more directly a change in focus to everything besides the blog. If I post a vlog, or any video, it'll be tied to the blog. For example, if I make a blog about the impact and advances in the video game universe, I may make a video or song about video games.

The next change, and I apologize for the repetition, is style. I've already begun with that change by switching to first person perspective. To accompany that change, I will, from now on, in videos, blogs, chats and whatever else, try to maintain a consistent personal style. No one likes a copy-cat.

Finally, in my opinion at least, the most vital change. The aspect that can kill or bring life to a blog, or any kind of website; consistency. I've said it before, but not as a key all its own. Trying to keep reality balanced with internet life can be tricky and laboring, as unbelievable as it may sound. I'm just beginning to get used to it. Thanks to modern technology, like my smartphone and iPod, it becomes a bit easier. I have notifications for news, Twitter, Facebook, email, and my blogs so I can keep up. The problem I'm just starting to find time to read articles, watch videos, make videos, and write blog posts but not becoming a slave to technology.

So with that said, I hope you enjoy your future visit at Enterveniant. Be sure to comment and return.

ComicVeniant - Rainbow Poptart Cat

And thus, Nyan Cat was born.

Drew's blog

Hey it's Drew here. This is my first blog on the site and i'm pretty excited to share it with you. Basicly i plan on talking about my life and what I do everyday. So why not start with today? Well this afternoon i was smoking a cigarette and a homeless person walked by house and asked me if I had a razor blade (i'm not lying here). I asked the guy why he needed a razor blade and he showed me his finger nail, it was about 2 inches long and was hanging off of the mans finger ready to snap. It looked painful, however I didn't happen to have a razor blade so I told the man i'm sorry I can't help you. He then asked me if I had 20 cents which i did and he went on with his day. Now this may seem like a weird random incident to you but I deal with people like this everyday. You see I live in San Bernardino, California, about 100 miles out from la. And for the last 20 years my city has been in a major depression. Its basically the Detroit of California. And i've seen some things that you couldn't imagine just sitting outside on my pourch. For example, in the middle of summer a woman walked by house and asked me "boy arn't you cold", I replied with "no its pretty hot out here haha" and then she tells me "well its freezing over here, i forgot to bring my jacket with me". Now you have to realize it was at least 105 degrees that day. With that said the people I meet on a daily basis give me hope for the future. They make me see that someday when i'm 50 years old walking down those same streets maybe I too can harass some nice man on his pourch.
